David has over 10 years’ sustainability and environmental experience in the energy sector.

David is part of the ESG team at NEC and supports the Head of ESG in the implementation of the ESG framework across the Group’s interests, along with reviewing and ensuring that all ESG regulatory matters are considered accordingly. He is joining NextEnergy as a VP, coming from Neptune E&P UK Limited (Aberdeen), and he will strongly contribute to our Group ESG strategy and operational success

David is an experienced environmental & social advisor for the energy sector and is very passionate about nature and sustainability. Prior to joining NEC in 2022, David worked in the energy industry providing environmental and sustainability support for 10 years. During these years, David has acquired strong knowledge in assessing and managing biodiversity and climate related issues which apply to all levels of the energy portfolio. This includes risk at a fund level but also an understanding of practical asset-level sustainability considerations.
